Our Origins

Opened in 1965, Water Heater Express was founded on the values of integrity, kindness, and a strong work ethic. Originally a family company, Homer Williams (Senior) established the company and faithfully taught his son the tricks of the trade. Plumbing ran in their blood, and soon both father and son were well-known around the Lafayette community for their expertise and friendly service. The duo even taught plumbing at Ivy Tech for 23 years. In 1981, Homer Williams Jr. took over the company and continued to carry on his father's legacy.

Homer Williams Sr. and Homer Williams Jr. shared a passion for helping people, and that fueled their desire to offer services as personalized and as attentive as possible. One customer even notes that the Homer Williams Jr. came to their home on Christmas Eve when their water heater broke and happily fixed it so the family could enjoy the holidays.

Currently, Jeremy Wheeler is the owner and operator of Water Heater Express. He'll be the one who answers the phone when you need that important fix!

Jeremy Wheeler, owner and operator, brings the discipline and drive he experienced in the Marine Corps to Water Heater Express. Jeremy has a passion for helping people through quality, available, and affordable plumbing services.

Acts and attitudes such as these allowed Water Heater Express to build a reputation and a legacy as Lafayette's premier plumbing company. They place their customers at the forefront of everything they do - and they always have! The team at Water Heater Express can't wait to see what the future holds, and they always remember their strong beginnings and the people who made the company into what it is today.
